The Liturgy of the Hours is what is often called the official prayers of the Church. Clergy promised to the Bishop at their ordination to be faithful to the Hours and so they begin their day by faithfully reciting the     prayers for that day as their day begins. Many other people and religious    congregations also recite the Liturgy of the Hours. I would like to invite the people of both St Andrew and St Monica Parishes to come together at St   Monica Church at 9 a.m. on Holy Thursday (April 2nd), Good Friday (April 3rd) and Holy Saturday (April 4th) to join as one in celebrating the Office of      Readings and Morning Prayer. There will be sign up sheets at the entrances to both facilities. Please mark your calendars and join with me in reciting in one voice in one community as we pray these beautiful prayers with the Universal Church throughout the world.
